I hand-dye 100% wool yarn, used by
traditional rug hookers,  punch-needle
hooking artists and knitters.

November 7 - 15, 2009 I will be selling my yarn at the Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild show at Shelburne Museum, Shelburne, Vermont. Be sure to visit the basement floor to see all the vendors. Hope to see you there!

I am a rug hooker, and I like to use lots of textures in my work.  When I began using a punchneedle, I was disappointed in the available rug yarns.  I decided to dye my own spot-dyed yarn. Other punchhook artists were interested in purchasing my rug yarn, so Violet Jane was born. I offer more than 75 different spot-dyed colors of 2 weights of rug yarn.
